Re: Cicada
Took it for a gig last night....the sound is very crisp and clear, and the setup with the pickups and the Bourns blendpot works perfect. I will replace some of the toggleswitches, on my guitars, with these pots.

Re: Cicada
Yes Beate, that's the same one!
I've had it hanging, unfinished, on the wall for a long time. I wanted to be able to blend the two pickups fluently, but the the first blend pots I found, didn't do the job, and I didn't want to drill the pot-holes before I had tested what I wanted to achieve. Then some speaker cabs and 2 tele type guitars got in the way....and so on...but now it's rocking

Re: Cicada
Thanks Guys
I really like the Kinman Pickups. I use his latest Hank Marvin pickups, on my first handbuilt Classic, for Shadows music, and for the rest I use his humbuckers HX paf+ & paf astound. Thats the best sounding pickups for my taste. The are mounted in my favorite gig guitar
"The Eruption" http://www.artist-site.dk/guitars/erupt ... velvet.jpg
They are very responsive, very rich fat sound and no noise. The Pups in my Manta, Kinman Extra Vintage Astound and Extra Vintage, delivers even more "growl"
The Kinman Pickups are not the cheapest, but extremely well built and good sounding. Their service are excellent too.
Shielding the pup-cavities are essential with singlecoils... the humbuckers are not so critical, but prefer doing it anyway.
His harnesses are a very good way to get the most out of his sets.
The "Big nine O", which I put at the neck on the Cicada, sounds fantastic, and I can't wait to hear a full set (3) on a coming "Strat type" build.
I'm planning on building 3 "Strats" of different materials and experiment with different pup- configurations, to find out how much the "wood" affects the sound. I got all the "vintage" hardware in from GOTOH Japan waiting! I even have a couple of extra Bridges for sale! Chrome GOTOH 510TS-SF1/TS (steel block)
