I was asked for a piece of wood for a teletype body, as he already had a neck. I suggested a nice ,one piece, Khaya which he liked. But looking around among guitars and wood, the question came....could you build me a neck?....so why not take the full monty!... If we have to draw/program/CNC a new bolt on neck, we might as well make the body too, and make one for ourselves.
So here it is.....
Body: light flamed Maple on Khaya. Binding.
Neck: HRMaple with Walnut center, rosewood fingerboard.
Hardware: Kinman Broadcaster.
Tuners: Gotoh SDS510 HAP

The finish is TruOil, which I spray 4-5 layers. The burst is made with shellac with colorpigment from StewMac. Then sprayed with a couple of TruOil layers again!
